Chris Paton is Managing Director of Quirk Solutions and a specialist in delivering Business Wargaming to large corporations, SMEs and the public sector.
In his former career Mr Paton was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Marines and advisor to the Cabinet and National Security Council on the Afghan strategy.  “At Quirk Solutions we have adapted the military wargaming model for businesses. We work with them to identify risks associated with their plan & understand where they could go wrong.

WHAT IS WARGAMING? 
Wargaming is a tool the military developed to stress test and evaluate plans before committing resources into action. Quirk Solutions are the UK’s premier exponents of wargaming and have adapted the military model into a successful commercial version, stress testing plans to identify risks and opportunities. To date Quirk Solutions has worked with a number of leading UK organisations including NHS trusts and the NHS Business Services Authority, Shell, Waitrose, BUPA, Heineken, Standard Life Investments and a wide range of SME businesses. 

WHAT TYPES OF ISSUES CAN BE ADDRESSED? 

Business and organisations regularly face multiple internal and external challenges as they grow
and expand. Examples of these changes include: centralisation, acquisitions, change & transformation, investment, diversi cation, regulatory changes etc.
