Meet Scott...
Scott is the Managing Director of Nortek UK, who design, develop and produce scientific instruments in order to measure water in motion, such as currents and waves.
Scott holds a Honours Degree in Electronic and Electrical Systems from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, upon graduating he spent almost 10 years positioning vessels and drilling rigs around the world. Following this Scott moved onshore to Seatronics, a rental equipment business, where over the next 10 years he progressed from Sales Engineer, to Operations Manager, General Manager and finally Regional Manager covering the UK HQ and Abu Dhabi branch. |
Working closely with and developing his team has always been a passion for Scott; supporting, mentoring and offering a sounding board for those who are new into the industry or role has been both motivating and fulfilling and this was the draw to join Aberdeen Young Professionals.
Scott was fortunate in his professional and personal life to have some likeminded mentors who helped shape him into the individual he is today; “doing the right things and doing things right.”
Scott firmly believes in leaving things better than he found them, and is always looking to make improvements, be that to the world we live in, our mental health or physical performance.
Outside of work Scott is a cyclist, a long distance runner and aspiring Triathlete.
