How do I become a member of AYP?
If you are on LinkedIn search for the Company and Group page or visit the contact us section of the website

Does membership cost anything?
No. Membership is absolutely free.

Is there an age limit?
Absolutely not! Our target demographic are those in their twenties and thirties or in the early stages of their careers. However, we welcome all ages as our networking events are aimed at broadening our memberships network of contacts.

What do you mean by 'professional'?
Being the Oil Capital of Europe, AYP's membership mainly consists of engineering professionals from the oil and gas industry.  However we have members from a wide range of professions: legal, financial, PR, recruitment/HR, in fact the list is rather extensive! We welcome anyone from the business community who wants to make new contacts for personal and professional development.

Can I organise an event through AYP?
AYP is an open network, run by young professionals for young professionals. If you have an idea or would like to discuss hosting an event we would love to hear from you.

Who Runs AYP?
AYP was set up in 2009 by Ross Jolly as his peers had identified a lack of opportunities for young professionals in the early stages of their career to meet useful contacts in a relaxed and sociable environment.   David Taylor joined Ross and helped organise the first event at Tiger Tiger.  AYP are supported by a dedicated
committee.  We are always seeking members who feel they can bring something to the management of the group or the organisation of future events, so get in touch!

Why should I join AYP?
"its not what you know its who you know"

Now more than ever there is a huge importance of developing a network of contacts. While some members feel comfortable meeting new people for the first time others find it a little bit more daunting.  At AYP our experienced team is on hand to make new introductions and welcome new members to the group.  The group is continuing to grow at an astonishing rate.  The good mixture of backgrounds within the membership coupled with great events and a relaxed atmosphere always makes a great evening providing an opportunity to meet new business contacts/friends!

See you at the next event!
