Meet Yekemi...

Named one of 40 under 40 business innovators by Scottish Business News in 2016, Yekemi is a marketer with a Strategic-focus.She works with start-ups, SMEs and large corporate organisations in the Software, IT, Engineering, Business Support, Recruitment and Oil & Gas sectors. She ran her own marketing consultancy for nearly 3 years and served over 20 clients in that time.
In September 2018, Yekemi joined the board at Interface, a public sector backed establishment helping Scottish businesses work more closely with academic institutions to drive innovative projects.

Yekemi has over 13 years of experience in petroleum engineering, technical sales and strategic marketing roles. Previous companies she has worked for include Schlumberger, GE Oil & Gas and Lloyd‘s Register. She is a best-selling author on social networks and holds an MBA (Distinction), a BEng and MSc (Distinction) in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering.

Apart from strategic marketing, Yekemi is passionate about supporting girls in STEM, mentoring business owners in the poorest countries, photography and creative writing.  Yekemi was also part of the first intake of Mentees for the AYP Mentorship Scheme back in 2017/18.
